LUNAFEST, now in its 20th year, is a collection of films by and about women. LUNAFEST is making a mark in the industry by creating a platform for women’s untold stories and working to increase opportunity for women filmmakers. 2021 marks the 20th anniversary of LUNAFEST!
Who benefits from your participation?
This year we are once again partnering with H.E.A.T Watch.
H.E.A.T. WATCH - an organization dedicated to fighting human trafficking – a growing problem in the Bay Area and around the world. They work on all levels of assisting victims of sex trafficking and labor trafficking.
ZONTA AWARDS and SCHOLARSHIPS - awarded to women striving to improve the lives of women: Young Women in Public Affairs Award and Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship
ZONTA INTERNATIONAL-Projects striving to end violence against women and other projects that advance the status of women.
How does the virtual showing work?
LUNAFEST 2021 starts at 7:00pm PST on Friday, October 8. You will have access to the films and livestream discussion via your Eventive ticket. Instructions will be included on your ticket confirmation and email reminders.
Prior to the films, a live introduction to the event will offer an opportunity to learn more about Zonta and H.E.A.T Watch. Additionally, we are thrilled to have a guest speaker from the film industry and a chance to thank our sponsors.
You will have 48 hours to view seven short films made by and about women. Participants receive a link to view the movies anytime over the 48-hour window. You can stop, go back, and repeat as many times as you wish. Once you start watching you have 24 hours to finish viewing the films.
